Dr. Graetz attended undergraduate and medical school at Saint Louis University. He completed a residency in Anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital before returning to St. Louis, MO for fellowship training. Dr. Graetz completed a Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship followed by a Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis / Barnes-Jewish Hospital before he joined the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis as a faculty member. He has varied academic interests including coagulation, depth of anesthesia, and operational improvements. He has a wife and three children who all enjoy living in St. Louis. He enjoys cycling and watching his children participate in sporting activities in his free time.
