Raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Heather graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2013 with a B.S. in Brain and Cognitive Science and then graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020 with an M.D. and Ph.D. in Neuroscience. She joined the Sleepy Brain Lab in 2020 as an anesthesiology resident. Heather is in the Scholars Research Program and is interested in pursuing a cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship after residency. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and friends, doing crafts and puzzles, and exploring St. Louis.
