Following in her parents’ footsteps, Katie earned both a BA in English and a Certificate in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. She went on to teach developmental high school English and to coach varsity cheerleading bringing home two back-to-back State Championships. In 2004 Katie started her tenure at Washington University where she has worked in both project management and research coordination engaging in full-scope study-related activities. She joined DoCTR in 2014 and currently works as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator on projects designed to better understand the relationship between body temperature and outcomes in sepsis, and on projects where she assists with administering patient delirium assessments. In her spare time, Katie enjoys gardening, antiquing, and a good gin and tonic.
